Enjoy our world class sea duck hunting charters. Sea duck hunting New England with Ocean State Outfitters is truly an experience of a lifetime! This area of the Atlantic flyway hosts a wide variety of local and migratory sea ducks, bay ducks, divers, puddle ducks and huge Canadian Geese. Our most sought after waterfowl are the Common Eider, Old Squaw and all three species of Scoter. Vast numbers of these majestic birds arrive from their breeding grounds north of us in Labrador, Nova Scotia and various Islands throughout the Bay of Fundy frequenting our hunting grounds along the Atlantic flyway. Many of these water fowl spend the greater part of fall and winter moving from inland waters, estuaries and bays around southern New England. This is due to our climate, temperature and abundance of food sources.
As hunters we know “Animals are slaves to their stomach”. When you put your trust in OSO to provide you with a hunting experience of a lifetime, you can count on us knowing where the birds want to eat, moreover “they have to eat”. The feeding areas we hunt provide consistent opportunity and produce quality animals for our clients. OSO keeps a close eye on weather changes, and patterns bird movement on a daily basis. Using this invaluable knowledge changes the odds, allowing our hunters more of an advantage!
Due to the unique geography of Southern New England we are able to hunt
large bodies of prime water fowl habitat within a short drive from the
lodge! Many of these areas see little to no hunting pressure throughout
the season. Most hunting areas are within a reasonable distance from various boat
launches keeping boat travel to a minimum while maximizing time for your
hunt.

Sr. operates as a fully licensed and registered 50 Ton Near Coastal USCG Captain. Being
safe and comfortable is the biggest part of a successful hunt!
OSO can accomodate up to 8 hunters per day using our 17 foot Duck Wrangler by Duck Water Boats and Lake Bonneville Layout boats/blinds. If you prefer smaller hunting groups, or specialized parties we can accomodate you with adequate advanced booking.
