Hey everyone my name is Captain Jeremiah Brooks President and guide for Ocean State Outfitters. We are a veteran owned and operated family business, and we are one of the best guides on the East coast for Sea ducks.
I absolutely love the outdoors, whether it is fishing or hunting you can count me in. Sea duck hunting and duck hunting are my true passion!
I served on Active Duty in the United States Navy for 7.5 years as a Hospital Corpsman. I specialized in my field as an (8404) Fleet Marine Force field medic and was attached to a Marine Expeditionary Unit. After being wounded on deployment the Navy reeducated me as an (8463) USN Optician, my active duty career ended in 2005 when I was sadly med-boarded. I still get to serve our fine country as a Department of Defense (DOD) employee working in Rhode Island as the Optical Support Unit Manager supplying gas mask inserts, ballistic eye ware and frame of choice glasses to our troops and retirees throughout the 5 bases making up Naval Health Care New England including Hanscom AFB and the 25th Marine detachment.

First let me thank you for taking the time to read my bio. My name is Chad Gilbert, I am the Head of Pro Staff for Ocean State Outfitters. Waterfowl hunting is a lifestyle for me plain and simple.
I was raised in Agawam, MA, but left in 1996 when I joined the US Navy. My time serving as a US Navy Active Duty Fleet Marine Force Corpsman presented me with opportunities to hunt, fish and SCUBA dive in many different states in the US as well as overseas. I was stationed with the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Battalion 8th Marines at Camp Lejuene, NC and also at the Navy Clinic in Newport, RI where I met and served with Jeremiah. I live in Middletown, RI where I am a single father raising a daughter and son. I currently work for the Department of the Navy in Newport, RI as a Health Benefits Advisor and serve as a US Navy Reserve FMF Corpsman with the 25th Marine Regiment at Fort Devens, MA.
I have lived in New England for over 27 years and love calling it home. New England is a beautiful place to visit, rich in early American history and known for its seafood.
